How do I sign up?
You can register for the American Lung Association 8K & Virtual Half Marathon online or download and mail your registration form with payment. You will be prompted to either sign-in or register as a new user with the Run Sign Up website. Payment must be included with your registration form (made payable to the American Lung Association) and can be mailed to:

Can I switch my race choice?
Changes can be made up to June 9, 2021, however there are no refunds if switching from a more expensive to a less expensive run. Participants can update their own distances by accessing their Run Sign Up profile. If that’s not successful please email delaware.events@lung.org to request a distance switch.
How do my donations help?
At the American Lung Association, we believe healthy lungs and healthy air are worth fighting for. We provide support and education for those living with asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and fighting threats to lung health such as tobacco, air pollution, and more. Our vision is simple, but expansive: a world free of lung disease.
In March 2020, the American Lung Association launched a $25 million initiative to not fight COVID-19, but to defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. At the same time, we're continuing our advocacy work to support clean air and redoubling our long-term commitments to lifesaving research.

What is a Matching Gift?
Matching gifts are a great way to increase the impact of your gift. Many companies match their employees’ donations to non-profit organizations like the American Lung Association. Some companies will even double or triple your personal donation. Matching your donation is easy to do. Use the search tool or check with your company's human resources department to see if they have a matching gift program. Most companies will provide you with a short form for you to fill out and send to us with your donation. We will do the rest. It's that easy! Matching gift forms can be submitted via email to delaware.events@lung.org.
How do I register a team?
- Teams are made up of 2 - 10 runners.
- Each team must designate one of the following categories in which they will compete: Male, Female, Male Masters, Female Masters, Coed, or Coed Masters. Two females required to qualify as a co-ed team.
- All team members should first register as individual runners. Runners will be prompted to either join a team, create a team, or skip the team section upon registration online.
- All team information must be submitted by June 9, 2021.
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be completed where and whenever you’d like (no later than June 26, 2021). You can time the race on your own through an app, watch, or another timing device. You can submit your results and receive your certificate and race swag to celebrate what you’ve accomplished while supporting the mission of the American Lung Association!
Can I get a refund?
No - As a non-profit organization, the American Lung Association considers all registration fees and pledges to be a donation, and unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds. The race will be held rain or shine unless state or local COVID-19 guidelines dictate otherwise.
